Exploring Fast Fashion: Videography and Photography for a Student Economics Project

Recently, I had the opportunity to combine videography and photography while working on a unique project. A student approached me to document their school economics project on the topic of fast fashion. This assignment involved handheld video shooting, behind-the-scenes (BTS) coverage, and still photography, making it both a creative and educational experience for me.

The Project

The focus of the project was fast fashion—an important and timely topic exploring its economic, social, and environmental impacts. My role was to help bring the student’s ideas to life visually by capturing dynamic videos and high-quality photos across multiple locations. It was exciting to see how they presented their research and arguments with passion and creativity.

Experimenting with Videography

This experience allowed me to delve deeper into handheld videography, which brought its own set of challenges and learning moments. From stabilizing the camera to adjusting settings for different lighting conditions, every shot required focus and adaptability.
